Testimonials
“Program Central Europe Connect allowed me to study at three universities simultaneously during my full-time studies at my home university, while the whole of Europe was under tough lockdowns. Expert professors made the lectures engaging and enriching. They kept the high level of the program during all course weeks, together with eager students. Each course week, I worked on a group project in a multinational team. I was pleasantly surprised by the attitude of the students towards the group projects. The well-chosen pre-readings prepared the participants for the lectures. Company visits complemented the curriculum from a practical standpoint. I would recommend participating in this program to students who want to gain international experience and learn about the CEE region.”
"Program CEC odporúčam všetkým študentom, ktorí majú záujem o načerpanie nových informácií ohľadom krajín CE a zlepšenie svojich jazykových skúseností. Vďaka tomuto programu získate nové informácie a kamarátov z rôznych univerzít" Zdenka Š.
Spoznáte veľa študentov z rôznych krajín, získate nové kontakty a načerpáte množstvo nových a zaujímavých informácií.
“I would highly recommend the Central Europe Connect program to other students, it was a real challenge to collaborate with such smart and very active young people with different background and communicate effectively in an intercultural environment. All sessions were very interesting, the time passed really very quickly for all of us. And I have a lot of insights for my future work. The advantage of the program is that we worked with real business cases and had meetings with representatives of firms working in Central and Eastern Europe. Thanks a lot to the organizers of this program, it was done at high level. The atmosphere was very supportive and comfortable, and I really appreciate the feedback we’ve got from our leaders for final projects and during the sessions, we would not achieve such great results without the inspiration they gave to us!” Anna P.
"It was very great to experience and observe how the dynamics within our group developed during this week. Everyone wanted to learn more about the other group members and showed great interest in the common tasks. It was great to see how we respected and understood the views of others. My personal highlight was the point at which we had overcome the cultural hurdles and the feeling of shyness, which I felt at first, and became a real team. We motivated our speakers before each presentation and afterwards praised each other for the great success of the group." Alexander H, a student of WU Click here to read the whole interview.
"In conclusion, I believe that the program has not only enriched my theoretical knowledge, but has also helped me to develop personally and socially." Lisa Magdalena K, a student of WU Click here to read the whole interview.
„I decided to participate in the CEC program, because I wanted to gain a new experience. I learnt how to make a questionnaire and how to analyze it, I learnt about FDI in european countries and analyzed study cases. It also gave me an opportunity to learn through MS Teams and I also met new friends this way. I would definitely recommend other students to apply for the CEC program, it is a great opportunity.“ Ivana M.
„I decided to participate in the CEC program, because I wanted to gain better knowledge and understanding of CEE economy, because I plan to live and do business here so I thought it would be very helpful. What I learnt academically is how socializm influenced this region, why we are not where the western countries (economically) are and specifics of this region. From the experiences I would highlight the pre-reading materials, which were very interesting and also the case studies that we have been working on in teams. I would recommend other students to apply and participate in the CEC program.“ René M.
„When making a decision to apply for the CEC program, the most important thing for me was that it was online, as I was expecting covid to hit once again. I was looking for something to do apart from school. I was eager to learn more abou CEC as a region. Of course, I would like to participate in person but having current situation in mind, I think that it was prepared well. Academically I learnt Economical aspcets of CEE as a region in general and in particular FDI trends in CEE countries. I also learned about how to use and implement different frameworks like SWOT,OLI,KSF,PESTEL. I would definitely recommend students to participate in this program. I think it is a great addition to learning at our university. You can see how different schools work.“ Samuel G.
„Program určite všetkým odporúčam, aj ak priamo nesúvisí s vašim zameraním. Ja som študentom FBI a prvý krát som sa s Marketingom stretol práve v rámci tohto programu. Určite si rozšírite obzory, získate nové perspektívy. Navyše možnosť navštíviť 2 kvalitné univerzity v regióne a spoznať množstvo super ľudí je príjemným bonusom.“ Matej A.
„Prezenčnú účasť v programe Central Europe Connect hodnotím veľmi pozitívne. Počas krátkeho obdobia má študent možnosť zažiť iný typ výučby na zahraničnej univerzite, precvičiť si jazyk a zároveň spoznať nových ľudí. K tomu všetkému patrí aj objavovanie mesta a ďalšie super zážitky. Jednoznačne skvelá skúsenosť.“ Tomáš R.
„I'm very glad that I had the unique opportunity to participate in the CEC program, where we could deepen our knowledge of the CEE region and its economic, business and investment environment. We also got some practical skills and useful information from the guest representatives of successful companies, had some excursions and outdoor activities. I especially appreciate the professionalism of the organization, the high level of teaching standard, as well as the new acquaintances with students from Austria, Poland and Slovakia. I definitely recommend participating in this program to students who want to leave their comfort zone, learn something new and have some fun.“ Anastasia R.
„I would definitely recommend CEC for those with international experiences or without. You will experience different company meetings, lectures and at the end you will realise how interlinked our countries are due to history and many years of living close to each other, not to mention their unique differences, but at times, also similarities. You will learn about business in Central Europe, but you will also get to know different people, go to different cities, experience and discuss the differences and what unites us. On the other hand it could be challenging to work with others all the time and have a packed schedule, but it also means that we will have to find our ways and manage our time wisely. Overall even this short time could provide someone with a small Erasmus type of experience. Thank you EUBA for partaking and organising a programme like this for us!“ Emese C.
“Without a doubt the CEC Program has a huge advantage for knowledge seeking students. We were provided not only with theoretical insights into important topics, but highly effective practical activities, such as company visits or get-togethers. During the course weeks we could integrate with like-minded students from the partner universities, thanks to which we were able to create unique connections. We were provided with a practical insight into some world-known companies such as ESET, UNIQA or REWE. Talking with professionals in the field, gathering first-hand information about the mechanism of such high valued companies is truly a valuable opportunity and advantage for our future academic and professional life. Not to mention the fact that we made friends and created memories that will last for a lifetime.” Rebeka G.
„All 3 courses of Central Europe Connect provided a splendid environment for productive studying and research, as well as a great possibility of developing friendships on an international level. I would highly recommend the program to all the students who are keen on gaining new insights in a multicultural atmosphere. The program provides a great opportunity to experience the culture of a foreign university and learn from new perspectives. Students who are interested in exploring the cities and going on sightseeing tours will also be delighted with what the program offers. To sum up, CEC is a go to for everyone who likes seeking knowledge in a friendly and adventurous setting.“ Ucha G.
„I haven´t experienced anything like the CEC program before, but I am glad that I took this opportunity. It was like a mini Erasmus with a lot of activities, where we had the possibility to meet new people, improve our language skills (eg. German as well :) ), learn something new and have fun together. It was really nice to experience studying at WU in Vienna and SGH in Warsaw. Now, I can better compare it with my own faculty. During our stay in Vienna and Warsaw I liked our joint dinners a lot. In fact, it was nice to be proud of your culture and show it to your foreign friends. What is more, I was glad that I didn´t need to skip most of my own classes when I was doing the course. But still, I experienced something extra and I am happy of participating in this course at my faculty.“ Lucia K.
„Program Central Europe Connect rozhodne odporúčam študentom, ktorí si chcú vyskúšať aké je to študovať na zahraničnej univerzite. A to nie len na jednej, ale v priebehu 3 mesiacov až na 2 výborných zahraničných univerzitách vo Viedni a Varšave. Okrem tejto skúsenosti som mala šancu spoznať skvelú komunitu ľudí, zlepšila som si jazykové zručnosti a naučila som sa veľa nového o podnikaní v prostredí CE. Program hodnotím určite kladne a som vďačná, že som si vďaka nemu mohla skúsiť aj ja taký "malý Erasmus". Miroslava H.
„The Central Europe Connect program is a unique program to improve your analytical skills in areas such as macroeconomics, marketing or investments. A big plus in the program is working in an international team and the possibility to create your own team research in a certain way. Also, the opportunity to study at foreign universities and gain a different point of view on the study itself was just one of the other benefits of the program for me.“ Radovan K.
„Program CEC považujem za skvelú príležitosť, počas ktorej majú študenti možnosť študovať na zahraničných univerzitách, majú možnosť spoznať nových ľudí a vytvoriť si nové priateľstvá, ako aj objavovať nové miesta a odniesť si domov mnoho nezabudnuteľných zážitkov. Taktiež si študenti môžu precvičiť a zdokonaliť jazyk a zároveň nadobudnúť nové vedomosti. Účasť v tomto programe hodnotím veľmi pozitívne a odporúčam ho každému študentovi, ktorý sa nebojí vyjsť zo svojej komfortnej zóny.“ Eva Mária Ď.
„Dear fellow students, I am writing this testimonial to share my incredible experience with the Central European Connect (CEC) program and encourage all of you who are considering participating in this unique opportunity.
CEC has truly been a transformative journey for me. As a student enrolled in the program, I had the extraordinary chance to study at three different universities across three Central European countries, all within a single semester. This immersive experience allowed me to immerse myself in the rich cultural heritage and academic environments of these diverse nations.
Studying at three universities in one semester might seem daunting at first but let me assure you that it is an enriching adventure worth pursuing. The exposure to different educational systems, teaching styles, and academic perspectives has broadened my horizons in ways I never anticipated. Not only did I gain a deeper understanding of my chosen field of study, but I also developed a more global mindset and a heightened appreciation for the rich diversity within Central Europe.
The CEC program offers much more than just academics. It provides a platform for cultural exchange and personal growth. Throughout my journey, I had the pleasure of meeting fellow students from all walks of life, creating lifelong friendships and professional connections. The program also organized various cultural and social activities, allowing us to explore the vibrant cities we called home for a semester, forging lasting memories and creating a true sense of belonging.
One of the most valuable aspects of the CEC program is its emphasis on creating a supportive and inclusive environment for students. The program coordinators and staff were always available to assist and guide us throughout our journey, ensuring a smooth transition between universities and countries. Their dedication and commitment to our success were evident at every step, providing a safety net that allowed us to fully focus on our studies and personal development.
If you are considering participating in the CEC program, I strongly encourage you to take this opportunity. Studying at three different universities across three Central European countries in just one semester is an experience that will shape your academic and personal life in profound ways. Embrace the chance to immerse yourself in new cultures, forge lifelong connections, and expand your horizons.
Thank you, CEC, for providing me with this life-changing opportunity.“ Ramal V.
„Participating in the Central Europe Connect program has been an incredibly rewarding experience for me. Throughout the program, I had the opportunity to attend various courses and lectures that provided valuable insights into the economies of the Central and Eastern European (CEE) region, as well as in-depth knowledge about marketing strategies specific to this region.
The courses covered a wide range of topics, including economic trends, market analysis, consumer behavior, and business practices in the CEE region. The instructors were highly knowledgeable and passionate about their respective fields, which greatly enhanced the learning experience. The lectures were particularly insightful, providing real-life examples and case studies that showcased successful marketing campaigns and strategies implemented in the CEE region. I had the opportunity to engage with fellow participants who came from diverse backgrounds and shared a common interest in the CEE region. The exchange of ideas and experiences during group discussions and networking events enriched the overall learning experience and provided valuable insights from different perspectives. I was also impressed by the organization and structure of the program.
In summary, my participation in the CEC program was a highly satisfying experience. The courses and lectures not only expanded my knowledge about the economies in the CEE region, but also equipped me with practical skills and insights into marketing in this specific market.“ Ivan S.
„The Central Europe Connect Joint Certificate Program is one of the best opportunities a student can at our university take. The programme consists of 3 parts divided into 3 weeks. Every week is organised by different university in 3 various capital cities – Bratislava, Vienna, Warsaw. The core of the programme is formed by 3 courses that are suitable for students of economics, international relations, marketing, management, or international business. Every week students take a part in the interactive lectures which are finished with their final presentations. Final presentation includes group work and utilising the knowledge which was learned during the whole week. During the programme students can take a part in city tours, farewell dinners, and social events. Another advantage is that students see the teaching system at other universities, can compare the building, services provided by universities and make new international friends. If you are bored and want to try something new, gain new experience, make new friends, and see how it works at various universities, you should take a part!“ Elena L.
„Central Europe Connect program offers a unique opportunity to study at three different universities in one semester. At each university, students expand their knowledge and deepen their understanding of the specific issues in international business in the context of Central Europe as well as in business cooperation between Slovakia, Poland and Austria. During 3 short exchanges, students have the chance to immerse themselves in different academic environments and benefit from the expertise of experienced professors, who bring real-life insights to the classroom, making learning engaging and practical. Apart from the theoretical knowledge, students get to hear about the experience of industry experts during company visits in each city, and apply the content of the classes when working on interesting group projects with fellow classmates from Austria and Poland. However, CEC involves so much more than the academic aspect. Through various social events organised by each university, students have a chance to expand their network and create lifelong friendships and connections. Exploring each city‘s culture during insightful city tours adds an extra layer of fun to the overall experience. For me, CEC was not only about gaining valuable theoretical and practical academic skills, but also about creating memories I will remember forever. I encourage everyone who is considering applying to this unique program to take this once in a lifetime opportunity”. Simona G.
„Vďaka CEC som mala možnosť študovať na jednej z najlepších univerzít sveta-na WU vo Viedni. Stretla som tam skvelých ľudí, s ktorými som nadviazala priateľstvá, a mala som rovnako možnosť zažiť podobné na SGH vo Varšave. Program CEC mi ukázal, ako vysoko kvalitne dokáže fungovať univerzitný systém. Vďaka skúseným profesorom na univerzitách som získala hlboké vedomosti a zručnosti vo svojom odbore, a zároveň som sa naučila kriticky myslieť, riešiť problémy a spoznala viac do hĺbky trh strednej a východnej Európy. Odporúčam CEC každému, kto hľadá kvalitné vzdelanie a neopakovateľný študijný zážitok!“ Petra K.
„I really enjoyed the CEC program as I met a lot of experienced and eager-to-knowledge people, I had an opportunity to study at two more universities and got to know such nice professors at WU, SGH and EUBA. We also visited companies that shared with us their corporate experience and some even gave their merch. There were nice welcoming sessions, city tours and dinners and all three countries. The coordinators made the schedule and informing process so easy to follow. Thank you for this incredible opportunity“. Polina M.
