The Bratislava University of Economics and Business today, at a ceremonial meeting of the Scientific Council connected with the meeting of the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Economics and Finance, awarded the honorary scientific degree of Doctor honoris causa to Elena Kohútikova, a prominent Slovak economist, banker and public figure.
The 19th International Teaching Week took place at the Bratislava University of Economics and Business from 27th to 31st October 2025. Every year the event offers the opportunity for international cooperation in teaching and connects teachers from foreign universities with EUBA students. The aim of this year's edition was to support internationalization in teaching and at the same time to strengthen cooperation within the framework of teacher mobilities under the Erasmus+ programme, especially through the Erasmus Mobility with Partner Countries outside of European Union (KA 171).
The International Study Abroad Fair (ISAF) at the Bratislava University of Economics and Business (EUBA) continues to shine as a flagship event promoting international mobility, cultural exchange, and global friendship. The latest 15th edition, held during the winter semester of the 2025/2026 academic year, built upon the success of previous years and welcomed students from 22 countries, transforming the university into a vibrant mosaic of cultures.
On the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the founding of the Bratislava University of Economics and Business, the university honored individuals and institutions that significantly contribute to the deepening of relations between the academic environment and practice. The awards in the category "For Contribution to the Development of Cooperation with Practice" were presented, at the proposal of the deans of the faculties, to those who, through their long-term activities, initiative and support, help the university fulfill its mission and push the boundaries of education and research.

On Tuesday, October 14, 2025, during a ceremonial meeting of the academic community on the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the university's founding, the Bratislava University of Economics and Business awarded awards to personalities and institutions that significantly contribute to the development of the university and the strengthening of the academic community.

On the occasion of the 85th anniversary of its founding, Bratislava University of Economics and Business awarded one of the highest university awards – the Imrich Karvaš Medal. This prestigious award bears the name of the prominent economist, university professor and first governor of the Slovak National Bank, Imrich Karvaš, who, through his work and ideas, left an indelible mark of professionalism, responsibility and values on the university like no other figure in its history.
The Accounting and Accounting and Auditing study programs at the Faculty of Economic Informatics at the Bratislava University of Economics and Business have received the prestigious professional accreditation of the AICPA - CIMA.
Professor Martin Kahanec from the Department of Social Development and Labour at the Faculty of Economics and Finance EUBA has become the laureate of the Eset Science Award in the Outstanding Scientist in Slovakia 2025 category.
