On Friday, October 9, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., the election of a candidate for the position of Rector of the Bratislava University of Economics and Business for the term of office from February 1, 2027, to January 31, 2031, took place during a closed session of the EUBA electoral assembly in the University's Great Hall.

In accordance with the Higher Education Act, as amended, the public hearing of applicants for nomination as candidate for Rector takes place at a session of the Electoral Assembly.
The Bratislava University of Economics and Business (EUBA) welcomed 132 international exchange students from 24 countries across Europe, Asia, and North America at the beginning of the winter semester of the 2026/2027 academic year. The students came to EUBA through the Erasmus+ programme, bilateral cooperation agreements, and the National Scholarship Programme.
Faculty of Business Management at Bratislava University of Economics and Business has received AMBA & BGA joint accreditation – confirming it as world-class. This is the first and only AMBA- and BGA-accredited institution in Slovakia
The Department of Science and Doctoral Studies at EUBA organized the 7th annual "PhD Orientation Days 2026" event on September 16–17, 2026. The event aimed to provide information to new doctoral students beginning their studies at the University of Economics in Bratislava in the 2026/2027 academic year. This year’s event also served as a pilot initiative in preparation for the establishment of the EUBA Doctoral School, scheduled for September 1, 2027.
From 8 to 11 September 2026, Glasgow, Scotland, became a hub for the global higher education community as it hosted the 36th annual conference and exhibition of the European Association for International Education (EAIE). The event is Europe’s leading gathering dedicated to the internationalisation of higher education, bringing together academic leaders, researchers and international education professionals from around the world. The EAIE Conference and Exhibition provides a unique platform for building strategic partnerships, sharing innovative approaches and strengthening international networks. This year’s event was held under the theme “The Rhythm of Revolution,” which reflected through the whole program. Slovakia was represented by delegates from 14 Slovak higher education institutions, together with representatives of the Ministry of Education.
From May 25 to June 12, 2026, the 13th edition of the International Business Consulting Program (IBCP) took place at the Bratislava University of Economics and Business (EUBA) in cooperation with the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse (UWLAX). Fourteen EUBA students collaborated with 16 students from the USA in six mixed teams to work on real-world business projects.
The International Office at the Bratislava University of Economics and Business organized the fourth edition of its summer school from 20 to 24 July 2026, this time focusing exclusively on human resource management in the digital era. The programme welcomed 19 students from partner universities in Hungary and Germany, namely the Budapest University of Economics and Business, Technische Hochschule Augsburg, and Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences.

The Bratislava University of Economics and Business (EUBA) achieved the highest increase in research quality of any institution assessed in the VER 2026 periodic evaluation. Compared with the previous evaluation in 2022, the quality of its research activity rose by 353 percent — the largest improvement in Slovakia.
From 19 to 28 May 2026, students of the University of the Third Age at the Bratislava University of Economics and Business (EUBA) took part in a study trip to Mongolia. The delegation comprised 41 members. In addition to the U3A students, the trip was attended by senior academic officials: Ferdinand Daňo, Rector of EUBA; Zuzana Juhászová, Vice-Rector of EUBA; Rudolf Kucharčík, Dean of the Faculty of International Relations (FMV) of EUBA; Eva Stradiotová, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Applied Languages (FAJ) of EUBA; and Janka Sebera Chládecká, representing the U3A at EUBA.
