Members of the Scientific Council are appointed and discharged by the Rector after approval of the Academic Senate in Bratislava. Their term of Office is for 4 years. Members are prominent experts from the areas in which the university conducts educational, research and other creative activities. At least one quarter and more than one third of the members of the SC are people who are not members of the Academic Community in Bratislava.
