On 20 April 2023, Rector of the University of Economics in Bratislava Ferdinand Daňo received a delegation of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), comprising Joybrato Mukherjee, DAAD President and Antje Schlamm, Head of the DAAD Central Europe Desk. The delegation was accompanied by Stefan Kruschke, Head of the Culture and Press Department at the German Embassy. Also present on behalf of EUBA were Boris Mattoš, Vice-Rector for International Relations and Radoslav Štefančík, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Languages. The topics discussed involved research cooperation between Germany and Slovakia and support for Ukrainian students.

Students in the study programme Financial Markets and Investment (Department of Banking and International Finance and Department of Insurance at the Faculty of National Economy, EUBA), together with students at the Tsinghua PBCSF, Beijing, China and Warsaw School of Economics, Poland, participated actively in the International Central Banking Week organised by the Hochschule der Deutschen Bundesbank in Hachenburg, Germany on 15 - 22 April 2023. The week filled with excellent lectures and workshops on current monetary policies in the Eurozone, financial literacy and cryptocurrency market regulation that were held at the University of Hachenburg and at the Bundesbank in Frankfurt was concluded by the Fort Fantastic contest, smoothly won by our students.

After an isolating pandemic period, we were very happy to meet again for the realization of the next edition of SF´23 (Sustainability Festival 2023). Previous editions were held during s series of  Sustainability Week events, but this one, held in April, was fresh, creative, and inspiring...., in short, the spring's dynamic creativity was beneficial for the festival's success in all dimensions in a truly revitalizing way.

In the summer semester of an academic year 2022/2023, we are organizing already the 9th edition of an international educational project Central Europe Connect - Joint Certificate Program (CEC), that enables short-term international student exchange at three economic universities in Central Europe. The CEC project is a joint project of the University of Economics in Vienna (WU), the University of Economics in Warsaw (SGH) and the University of Economics in Bratislava (EUBA). Within this unique certified program, 20 students from each university attend lectures and discussions on the topics of economic development of the countries of the Central European region.

An inaugural ceremony for the Rector of the University of Economics in Bratislava, Prof. Dipl. Ing. Ferdinand Daňo, PhD., and for the Deans of the EUBA faculties was held in the University's Assembly Hall on March 21, 2023. Prof. Dipl. Ing. Erika Pastoráková, PhD. was inaugurated as the Dean of the Faculty of National Economy; Assoc. Prof. Dipl. Ing. Peter Drábik, PhD., MSc., was inaugurated as the Dean of the Faculty of Commerce; Prof. Mgr. Erik Šoltés, PhD. was inaugurated as the Dean of the Faculty of Economic Informatics; Assoc. Prof. Dipl. Ing. Anita Romanová, PhD. was inaugurated as the Dean of the Faculty of Business Management; Dr. h. c. Prof. RNDr. Michal Tkáč, CSc. was inaugurated as the Dean of the Faculty of Business Economy in Košice; and Assoc. Prof. PhDr. Radoslav Štefančík, MPol., PhD. was inaugurated as the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Languages.

The University of Economics in Bratislava hosted the 12th edition of the Winter School in cooperation with the prestigious French university ESC Rennes School of Business. 9 January 2023 saw the opening of the event’s 12th edition attended by 15 foreign students from countries such as Colombia, Peru, Mexico, India, China or Italy. For the first time ever, students of the University of Economics in Bratislava were allowed to attend teaching activities and had thus an opportunity to experience internationalisation on their home ground in addition to being able to acquire expert knowledge.
