Associate Professor Julie Hussin, a renowned Canadian scientist and expert in data analysis and artificial intelligence, visited the University of Economics in Bratislava, where she gave a lecture and discussion with students on February 12, 2025. Julie Hussin is an associate professor at the Université de Montréal, where she leads the master's program in bioinformatics. In her research, she specializes in the processing of large data sets and the development of ethical and responsible artificial intelligence algorithms, emphasizing their fairness and practical applicability.
The University of Economics in Bratislava welcomed 85 exchange students from 21 countries in Europe, Asia, America and Africa during the summer semester of the academic year 2024/2025. The largest group is made up of students from our partner institutions in France, Spain, Germany and Portugal, who have been sent through the Erasmus+ programme. Students from India come under bilateral cooperation and the National Scholarship Programme. We are also pleased to welcome students from Ukraine, Morocco, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina who came through the Erasmus+ KA171 International Credit Mobility Programme.

On the proposal of the deans of faculties and the director of the EUBA Physical Education and Sports Center, on November 13, 2024, on the occasion of International Students' Day, the Rector of the EUBA in Bratislava, Ferdinand Daňo, presented awards and a motivational scholarship to nominated students for achieving excellent results in the field of studies or sports.
From 21st to 25th October 2024, the University of Economics in Bratislava organized its 17th edition of the International Week. The main aim of this year's edition of the international week was to support the internationalization in the area of the teachers mobilities. This year EUBA welcomed 11 foreign participants representing universities from Germany, Romania, Lithuania. Latvia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Azerbaijan, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Portugal, and Turkey.
The Faculty of Economics and Finance of the University of Economics in Bratislava is constantly trying to push the boundaries of international cooperation and offer its students access to the latest knowledge and experiences from different corners of the world. One of the latest steps that will significantly enrich the study options is the conclusion of a double degree agreement with SolBridge International School of Business at Woosong University in South Korea for the Finance, Banking and Insurance study program. In the winter semester of an academic year 2024/2025, we organize the 12th edition of an international educational project Central Europe Connect - Joint Certificate Program (CEC), that enables short-term international student exchange at three economic universities in Central Europe. The CEC project is a joint project of the University of Economics in Vienna (WU), the University of Economics in Warsaw (SGH) and the University of Economics in Bratislava (EUBA). Within this unique certified program, 20 students from each university attend lectures and discussions on the topics of economic development of the countries of the Central European region.

The International Office at the University of Economics in Bratislava (EUBA), proudly hosted the 13th edition of the International Study Abroad Fair (ISAF) on October 01, 2024, an event that showcased the participation of 40 students from 20 different countries that introduced their universities and countries in their country booths.
