In the winter semester of an academic year 2023/2024, we organized jubilee 10th edition of an international educational project Central Europe Connect - Joint Certificate Program (CEC), that enables short-term international student exchange at three economic universities in Central Europe. The CEC project is a joint project of the University of Economics in Vienna (WU), the University of Economics in Warsaw (SGH) and the University of Economics in Bratislava (EUBA). Within this unique certified program, 20 students from each university attend lectures and discussions on the topics of economic development of the countries of the Central European region.

In the spirit of fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange, the EUBA hosted the Danube Conference 2023 on November 9-10, building on its inception in 2017 at the Ulm University. Rooted in the ethos of sharing experiences and perspectives on emerging challenges, the conference has become a pivotal event in the academic calendar. The Quality Assurance Centre of the EUBA took the reins as the host, steering the international discourse toward ethical considerations in teaching and research and the transformative impact of AI on higher education.

On October 10, 2023, the International Office of the EU in Bratislava organized the International Study Abroad Fair to bring students closer to all the possibilities of studying abroad. The fair brought together exchange students of the winter semester 2023/2024 and full-time students who presented their universities through engaging presentations. In addition, they shared their culture, traditions, and cuisine, creating a great opportunity for local students to network.

On September 26-29, 2023, the 33rd international education fair of the European Association for International Education (EAIE) took place in Rotterdam. The conference with the central theme "Connecting currents" was attended by more than 6,700 participants from 1,600 institutions from more than 100 countries of the world. In addition to personal meetings and visits of individual exhibitors' stands, the participants of the fair also had the opportunity to participate on interactive workshops, professional seminars and networking events.

The results of the collaboration of 15 business and academic partners from all over Europe, created under the OpenMusE Horizon Europe project, after only half a year of cooperation, have already moved us significantly forward, and closer to fulfilling the goals of the project, as well as the Memorandum of Cooperation between the University of Economics in Bratislava (Faculty of Business Management), the Digital Music Observatory, and public institutions supporting the development of the music industry.

It was exactly on October 4, 1940, when the then government accepted the proposal of the preparatory committee and issued a regulation with the force of law No. 248/Slovak Code, granting public status to the College of Commerce (the predecessor of the University of Economics in Bratislava), essentially giving consent to the establishment of the College of Commerce in Bratislava.
