The University of Economics in Bratislava is the first university in Slovakia to sign a memorandum of understanding with the Chartered Intitute of Management Accountants (CIMA). This event is all the more significant as CIMA is celebrating its centenary this year and the EUBA will celebrate its 80th anniversary next year.

On 26 November 2019, the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Slovakia, H.E. Mr Vanlalhuma was the last lecturer in the 26th edition of Diplomacy in Practice. In addition to the country's key historical events, the Ambassador Vanlalhuma addressed current issues, emphasizing the country's diversity and the specifics of its political system. He also stressed the importance of this day – 26 November, when India remembers the 70th anniversary of the Constitution.

On 14 and 15 November 2019, the Faculty of Economic Informatics of the University of Economics in Bratislava, together with the Slovak Society for Economic Informatics, organized a scientific conference 100 Years of Statistics in Czechoslovakia - Statistics Yesterday, Today and Current Challenges for the Future. The Conference was held under the auspices of the Chairman of the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic Ing. Alexander Ballek and Dean of the Faculty of Economic Informatics prof. Ing. Ivan Brezina, CSc. and focused on the history of statistics in the former Czechoslovakia and in present Slovakia on the occasion of 100 years of statistics in Czechoslovakia.
