Department of International Cooperation of the University of Economics in Bratislava organised the 1st edition of summer school entitled Bratislava Summer School 2023 - Challenges of Global Leadership which took place from July 17 to 21, 2023. The summer school was attended by students from several prominent European universities, namely ISEG - Lisbon in Portugal, KU Leuven in Belgium, SGH - Warsaw School of Economics in Poland and the University of Applied Sciences Bochum in Germany.

In the opening speech, students were greeted by Boris Mattoš, the Vice-Rector for International Relations of EUBA, who highlighted the efforts of foreign students to advance in their careers by expanding their knowledge and increasing their professional skills. After the introductory part, students continued the program with a tour of the university, and after the welcome snack, classes followed. The first day ended with a tour of the historical center of Bratislava.

During the summer school, students attended and completed two courses focused on international trade and finance, namely International Business Management - Challenges and Opportunities, organised under the professional supervision of Denisa Čiderová and Daniel Krajčík from the Faculty of Commerce, and Management of Public Finance, provided under the professional supervision of Matej Boór from the Faculty of Economics and Finance.
