On the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the founding of the Bratislava University of Economics and Business, the university honored individuals and institutions that significantly contribute to the deepening of relations between the academic environment and practice. The awards in the category "For Contribution to the Development of Cooperation with Practice" were presented, at the proposal of the deans of the faculties, to those who, through their long-term activities, initiative and support, help the university fulfill its mission and push the boundaries of education and research.

The academic community is not only characterized by research, teaching and professional activities. University life is a colorful mosaic of activities and achievements, which inevitably include sports. At Bratislava University of Economics and Business, sports have a strong place - they are a symbol of perseverance, team spirit and fairness, which are values ​​on which the university community itself stands.

Every successful university is built not only on visions, but also on the daily work, decisions, courage and responsibility of those who lead it not only at the faculty but also at the university-wide level. Faculty deans are the ones who translate academic strategy into practice, form professional teams, create conditions for students and teachers, and often bear responsibility for the direction of education, research and social engagement.

On the occasion of the 85th anniversary of its founding, Bratislava University of Economics and Business awarded one of the highest university awards – the Imrich Karvaš Medal. This prestigious award bears the name of the prominent economist, university professor and first governor of the Slovak National Bank, Imrich Karvaš, who, through his work and ideas, left an indelible mark of professionalism, responsibility and values ​​on the university like no other figure in its history.
