This year has marked the tenth anniversary of the International Business Consulting Program (IBCP) Summer School organised by the University of Economics in Bratislava in cooperation with the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse. Ten EUBA students joined the preparations of valuable real-business world projects along with US students.
During the Summer School the participants tried out working as consultants, preparing truly valuable and professionally developed projects, which surely must have brought a great deal of interesting ideas also for our partners, who we thank for their involvement in, and support of, the Summer School. The US Embassy created a space and provided support for the students to research the project entitled Slovakia's Role in Post-war Reconstruction of Ukraine. How to attract talent and transform it into future leaders was the topic of projects where useful advice and help was provided by TPA Slovakia and Covestro Services, s.r.o. ING Hubs Slovakia, on the other hand, gave the students great space and support to research the Project to Draw Up Strategies for Social Networks.
The Summer School event is a unique arena to develop cooperation between the academic environment and local and international companies operating in the Slovak market. Additionally, it provides students with opportunities to acquire practical experience with work in international teams, which will enhance their skills and knowledge as well as boosting their CVs.
The Summer School project, run under the auspices of Assoc. Professor Mgr. Boris Mattoš, PhD., Vice-Rector for International Relations, was a success. Organisational support for the project was provided by Ing. Soňa Galanová, Head of Department of International Cooperation, and teaching support by Assoc. Prof. Ing. Zuzana Skorková, PhD. of the Faculty of Business Management. We congratulate all participating students on a successful defence of their projects!
