From 14th to 16th April 2025, the 18th International Teaching Week took place at the Bratislava University of Economics and Business. This event connects annually teachers from foreign universities with EUBA students. The aim of this year's edition was to support the internationalization and at the same time to develop cooperation within the framework of teachers´ mobility.
The university welcomed 11 foreign teachers from universities in Spain, Finland, the Czech Republic, Romania, Ukraine, Greece, France and Estonia. The participants represented academic institutions such as the University of Córdoba, Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, Prague University of Economics and Business, Bucharest University of Economic Studies, Kyiv National Economic University, DeVinci Business School in Paris, University of Tartu, and Athens University of Economics and Business.
During the 18th International Week, lectures of foreign teachers on the subject of Green Economy were given at the Faculty of Economics and Finance. At the Faculty of Commerce the professional topics within the subject of International Marketing were presented. The Faculty of Economic Informatics offered its students presentations in the areas of Statistics, Enterprise Risk Management and Cybersecurity. The Faculty of Business Management hosted the lectures within the programmes of the Organizational Design of an Enterprise, Business Economics. The Faculty of International Relations welcomed foreign experts with contributions on the subjects of World Economy and International Business Law.
In addition to the academic assignments, participants and also teachers from the Bratislava University of Economics and Business had the opportunity to participate at informal breakfast organized by the International Office on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 with the aim to strengthen networking in the field of internationalization.
Altani Panagiatopoulu, a lecturer from the University of Athens, said: "I was very satisfied with the high level of the event organization and the interaction with EUBA students. They were actively interacting within the presentation provided during my lecture."
Lucie Andreisová, a participant from the University of Economics in Prague, added: "I would like to highlight the quality of the International Week in terms of the number of opportunities for networking and personal growth. The program of the entire event offered me a lot of interesting knowledge and meetings with colleagues from different countries with remarkable views and ideas."
In addition to the possibility of internationalization of the represented institutions, the event has provided since 2015 a great opportunity to establish new partnerships and to strengthen the existing ones within the framework of the Erasmus+ mobility program.
