On Wednesday, May 21, 2025, the President of the European Court of Auditors (ECA), Tony Murphy, FCCA, ECA member Katarína Kaszásová, FCCA, and the Vice-President of the Supreme Audit Office of the Slovak Republic, Henrieta Crkoňová, visited Bratislava University of Economics and Business.
The visit was welcomed by the Rector of the Bratislava University of Economics and Business, Ferdinand Daňo, who introduced the guests to the history and present of our university as the most important educational institution in the field of economics in Slovakia. The joint meeting, at which visions for the development of mutual cooperation were also expressed, was also attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Economic Informatics, EUBA, Erik Šoltés, and the Head of the Department of Accounting and Auditing, Miloš Tumpach.
The visit continued with a lecture by both ECA representatives aimed at familiarizing the students of Bratislava University of Economics and Business with the activities of ECA, its role within the European institutions and the possibilities of student internships. At the end of the visit, Jakub Wojnarowski, Director of ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), presented the representatives of our university with certificates on the extension of ACCA accreditation for exemptions from ACCA professional exams for graduates of the study program accounting, or accounting and auditing. In addition, by granting a new exemption in the field of "Taxation", Bratislava University of Economics and Business not only maintained its first place among universities in Slovakia, but is also in shared first place in the context of the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
