On June 13, 2025, 34 graduates of language education received Certificates of successful completion of language and professional training in the Slovak language before studying at a university, achieving the Slovak language level "B2", from the hands of Vice-Rector for Education Zuzana Juhászová and Coordinator of Language and Professional Training Milan Staňo.
The certificates were issued based on the successful completion of a language exam, the completion of which is conditional on at least 80 % participation in classes and subsequently on written and spoken expression, reading and listening comprehension.
EUBA implements an educational activity for foreign applicants for the study of the Slovak language who have expressed an interest in learning the Slovak language before studying at a university at a level of at least "B1" or "B2", with the aim of successfully completing the admission procedure and subsequently studying full-time at a university in the Slovak language.
Language education is implemented in two programs:
- Language and professional training in the amount of 560 teaching hours
- Intensive language and professional training in the amount of 380 teaching hours
In the academic year 2024/2025, a total of 82 foreign students from 14 countries around the world (Azerbaijan, Belarus, Egypt, India, Israel, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Russian Federation, Syria, Turkey, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Vietnam and Venezuela) studied in full-time and online form, and successfully achieved the level of Slovak language "B1".
We wish all graduates of language education not only a successful course of the university admissions process, but also improvement in the Slovak language in its everyday use in practical life.
