The Faculty of Economic Informatics at the University of Economics in Bratislava (EUBA) received a respected international accreditation ACCA for their programmes Accountancy and Audit and Accountancy and Financial Management. The University of Economics in Bratislava was granted an exemption from the accounting examinations which are required for the membership in ACCA. The certificates were awarded on 25 October 2018.

On 23 October 2018, the ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, H.E. Mr Lin Lin was a guest in the Diplomacy in Practice lecture series. The ambassador was welcomed before the lecture by the rector of the University of Economics in Bratislava, Mr Ferdinand Daňo. Mr Boris Mattoš, vice-rector for international relations and Ms Jana Blštáková, vice-dean for international relations at the faculty of Business Management presented the international cooperation with Chinese academic and research institutions at the meeting.

Rector of the University of Economics in Bratislava, Mr Ferdinand Daňo, received on October 22, 2018 a delegation from the Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman (KNEU) led by the rector of this university Prof. Dmytro Lukianenko. The members of the ukrainian delegation were Prof. Viktor Chuzhykov, vice-rector for international relations, Prof. Liubov Lukianenko from the Department of International Accounting and Audit, and Ms Roksoliana Liubachivska, director of the Centre for International Academic Cooperation.

From October 15 to 19, 2018 the University of Economics in Bratislava hosted representatives from 17 foreign universities from a number of European and non-European countries at 7th edition of the International Week. The event was launched by the rector of the University of Economics in Bratislava, Prof. Ferdinand Daňo and the ambassador of Japan to Slovakia, H.E. Mr Jun Shimmi under whose auspices the event was held. UEBA organized the 7th edition of the International Week with the support of the Erasmus+ programme.
