On 15 July 2019, the University of Economics in Bratislava opened its doors to the 3rd year of the programme Children's University of Economics in English. 39 bilingual children received their Study Reports at the University of Economics in Bratislava and attended the first lecture on marketing led by Ing. Jozef Orgonáš, PhD. Fresh students are joining 52 junior students, now graduates of the Children's University of Economics in the Slovak language, who received their diplomas a few days before them. A week of stimulating programme in top companies and leading institutions of the Slovak Republic is waiting for them, ending with a graduation ceremony.

On Friday, 12 July 2019, 52 students of the Children's University of Economics completed the programme with the graduation ceremony. It has been already seventh time that we met and awarded a graduate diploma and a junior degree in the presence of the rector of the University of Economics in Bratislava, prof. Ing. Ferdinanda Daňo, PhD. and an auditorium full of proud parents. During the two weeks of a rich program, the kids visited top companies in Slovakia and leading state administration institutions. We thank our partners as well as parents and students and look forward to meeting you in the next year of 2020.

Between 8 July and 2 August 2019, the 15th year of internationally established summer program for Mexican students from the partner university Instituto Tecnológico y Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, Mexico is held at the University of Economics in Bratislava. The summer programme was opened by Mr Boris Mattoš, vice-rector for international relations, who also welcomed students at the university. The opening ceremony was attended by the head of the International Relations Department of TEC Monterrey, the Toluca Campus, Ms Andrea Panzera.

Rector of the University of Economics in Bratislava Ferdinand Daňo signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). On behalf of rector, the UiTM guests were welcomed on 3 July 2019 by Mr Boris Mattoš, vice-rector for international relations. Ms Anetta Čaplánová, REPESEA project coordinator, and Mr Ľubomír Darmo, REPESEA project manager, were also present at the meeting. For the UiTM, Mr Nor'Azam Mastuki, dean of Arshad Ayub Graduate Business School and Mr Syed Jamal Abdul Nasir bin Syed Mohamad, deputy dean, attended the meeting.

Rector of the University of Economics in Bratislava, Mr Ferdinand Daňo, received a delegation from the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) Bangkok on 1 July 2019. The delegation was led by Prof. Kamphola Panyagometha. Mr Boris Mattoš, vice-rector for international relations and Ms Anetta Čaplánová, coordinator of the REPESEA project were also present at the meeting.

On Saturday, 1 July 2019, student matriculation ceremony launched the Bratislava Business School’s 7th edition of the Children's Economic University. 52 fresh students enrolled in their first first lecture led by PaedDr. Janka Chládecká, PhD. on the communication and etiquette.

Rector of the University of Economics in Bratislava, Mr Ferdinand Daňo and rector of the Budapest Business School (BGE) Mr Balázs Heidrich signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the University of Economics in Bratislava and the Budapest Business School in Budapest on 20 June 2019. Present at the meeting were Mr Balázs Heidrich, rector of the Budapest Business School, Ms Krisztina Szegedi, vice-rector for research, Mr Zoltán Szabó, director of international relations, Ms Zsuzsanna Géring, director of the Future of Higher Education Research Centre and Mr Gábor Király, vice-dean for research. The University of Economics in Bratislava was represented by Mr Ferdinand Daňo, rector of the university, Mr Boris Mattoš, vice-rector for international relations and Ms Jana Péliová, vice-rector for management of academic projects.

On 17 – 19 June 2019, the annual meeting of the International Double Diploma Consortium (CIDD) took place at the University of Economics in Bratislava. In his opening speech, EUBA’s rector, Mr Ferdinand Daňo, highlighted the importance of the consortium and the activities of the University in the field of double degree programmes. The international cooperation of the University of Economics in Bratislava was presented to the delegation by Mr Boris Mattoš, vice-rector for international relations.

On 14 June 2019, more than 20 secondary school students from Ukraine visited the University of Economics in Bratislava. Each of the students is the winner of one or several subject Olympics, many of them are members of the Youth Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. During the week, students visited several universities in Slovakia, where they got acquainted with the system of higher education in the country. The subject of the visit to the University of Economics in Bratislava was a presentation of the university, discussion with university representatives on the possibilities of study and a tour of the university campus. On behalf of the rector, the guests were welcomed by Mr Boris Mattoš, vice-rector for international relations.

On 7 and 8 June 2019, 17 representatives of the University of Economics in Bratislava took part in a volunteer event organized as part of the 13th year of the project Our City – The Days of Volunteering organized by the Pontis Foundation. An attractive event not only fulfilled its primary mission to help revitalize the environment in Petržalka, but it also played an important role in terms of education and training, as it represented a model for participating pupils, kindergartners and their parents, teachers, school management, and, additionally, personified its dissemination role in society as it was carried out in the vicinity of the University of Economics in Bratislava. Both days, the volunteer activities took place in Petržalka's exteriors, in areas full of greenery and high concentration of inhabitants great diversity.

Alexandru Minea, a respected European economist, visited the University of Economics in Bratislava with a goal in passing on his knowledge of fiscal and monetary policy to students of the Faculty of National Economics at the University of Economics in Bratislava. Students will attend to the end of the summer semester.

A group of students of the University of the Third Age (UTA) of the University of Economics in Bratislava, has recently participated in a study trip to China, which included the World Conference and World Congress on Senior Travel in Chinese Cities Wuhan and Yantai, organized by UTV AIUTA. in collaboration with Chinese organization of universities of the third age of Shandong province.
