Abstract: This paper presents a brief overview of congress tourism in context of MICE sector and evaluates the accommodation infrastructure of this type of tourism in Slovakia. In the introduction, the authors identify the accommodation infrastructure in relation to MICE activities in NUTS 3 regions. The paper continues with Methodology which explains the main goal which was to analyse the accommodation infrastructure of congress hotels in Slovakia from economic point of view. To achieve this, we used secondary data to quantify the potential revenues gen-erated in MICE sector in the hotels. For completing our results, we used also primary data gathered through questionnaire. The conclusion summarises the most important findings of the research.
