In the winter semester of an academic year 2025/2026, we organize already the 14th edition of an international educational project Central Europe Connect - Joint Certificate Program (CEC), that enables short-term international student exchange at three economic universities in Central Europe. The CEC project is a joint project of the University of Economics in Vienna (WU), the University of Economics in Warsaw (SGH) and the Bratislava University of Economics iand Business (EUBA). Within this unique certified program, 20 students from each university attend lectures and discussions on the topics of economic development of the countries of the Central European region.
The 14th edition of the CEC program was officially launched on November 3, 2025, at the EU in Bratislava with the course "Structural Dynamics in Central European Economies." During the week at the EUBA, students attended an integration workshop, participated on lectures and worked in groups on project assignments. In addition to the academic part, they also took a tour of the university, as well as the city, participated on a get together activity organized by ESN EU Bratislava, and attended a farewell dinner. Furthermore, a lecture focused on foreign direct investments in Slovakia provided by SARIO, as well as a visit to the prominent Slovak company called ESET, s.r.o. was also organised for students. The blocked teaching at the EUBA was concluded on Saturday, November 8, 2025, with presentations of the group project results.
The CEC project will continue from November 17, 2025 with the course "Marketing Resources and Consumer Behaviour in Central Europe," which is organized by the partner university SGH in Warsaw. The final course of the current edition of the CEC program, titled "Strategies and Management for Central Europe," will be launched on December 8, 2025 at the WU in Vienna.
In the summer semester of the academic year 2025/2026, we will be organizing already the 15th edition of this successful program, for which the registration will soon open. As one of the participants commented, „I really enjoyed the week in Bratislava and can say that this program is really nice and I would recommend it to other students“.
