The Bratislava University of Economics and Business (EUBA) entered the 2025/2026 academic year solemnly and with respect for the past. During the official opening of the new academic year, it commemorated its 85th anniversary and on this occasion, the university's rector, Prof. Ferdinand Daňo, presented awards for extraordinary contributions to the development of education to fourteen laureates from individual faculties.
Anniversary Award: Thanks to those who shape generations
The festive atmosphere of the opening of the 85th academic year was enhanced by a symbolic act – the awarding of teachers and experts who, with their long-term and dedicated work, shape the face of the university. EUBA is a brand created by people – their knowledge, values and determination. EUBA pays tribute to those who have contributed the most to this brand.
Laureates of the award for exceptional contribution to the development of education
The award for exceptional contribution to the development of education was received by 14 laureates - representatives of individual EUBA faculties. Their names and professional achievements are a symbol of expertise, humanity and tireless work for the benefit of students, the academic community and the general public.

The laureates received their awards personally from the hands of the rector during a ceremony in the EUBA Hall in the presence of the university management, deans, teachers and students.

85 years – a tradition that binds
Over the 85 years of its existence, Bratislava University of Economics and Business has built a strong position among Slovak and European universities. Today, it can rely on thousands of successful graduates, significant research projects, innovative study programs and, above all, on the people who work daily to make the university progress.
