The Swedish city of Gothenburg hosted the largest European event focused on the internationalization of higher education - the European Association for International Education (EAIE) Fair - from 9 to 12 September 2025. Among more than 7,300 participants from over 110 countries around the world, representatives of the Bratislava University of Economics and Business (EUBA) were also present.

The EAIE is one of the largest and most prestigious events of its kind in Europe, bringing together experts from the fields of international education, research and academic institutions from all over the world. It offers participants the opportunity to establish strategic partnerships, exchange experiences and expand international relations. The theme of this year's conference is "GO-create", which emphasizes cooperation and co-creation in all aspects of internationalization.

At the 35th EAIE 2025 fair, EUBA was represented by Boris Mattoš, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Erika Pastoráková, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Finance, Rudolf Kucharčík, Dean of the Faculty of International Relations, Miriam Blahušiaková, Vice-Dean for Development, International Relations and Public Relations of the Faculty of Economic Informatics, Jana Blštáková, Vice-Dean for International Relations of the Faculty of Business Management, and Miroslava Darnadiová, Head of the Center for International Relations at EUBA.

The fair featured a series of negotiations and meetings with representatives of universities and educational institutions from different regions of the world. "Internationalization is one of the key priorities of EUBA, strengthening the position of the university and bringing new opportunities for students and employees. This year we participated in three of the largest global education fairs - APAIE in Delhi - India, NAFSA in San Diego - USA and now EAIE in Gothenburg - which is an important step in this effort," said Boris Mattoš, Vice-Rector for International Relations.

EUBA's participation in the EAIE 2025 conference is made possible by the project entitled "Supporting Internationalization in the Academic Environment", which received financial support from the Slovak Recovery and Resilience Plan. This project has been included among the successful initiatives aimed at strengthening internationalization at our university.
