The winter and summer semesters of the academic year 2022/2023 brought together total number of 30 students from 19 different countries at an event organized on a semester basis. The International Mobility Department organized six Snack&Chat events where incoming exchange students met and discussed various topics and went through various activities. The six productive events were held on October 20, November 24, December 1, 2022, March 28, April 18, and May 09, 2023.
Khabibullokhon from SolBridge International School of Business, South Korea, said: “I found the event enjoyable. It was really interesting and amusing to talk with other students about their unique experiences in Bratislava.”. It describes well the aim of these events which is to get to know each other and to exchange everybody’s international experience. And just as mentioned in the name of the event, all these activities and chats are done while trying a variety of snacks. Matilde from the Iscte - University Institute of Lisbone, Portugal said: “I liked the Snack&Chat because we had lots of fun playing Kahoot with people from different countries. I really recommend it!”.
Through Snack&Chat, the International Mobility Department also wished to understand the students and get feedback from them to improve the student’s experience at EUBA. Indeed, Mr. Boris MATTOŠ, Vice-rector for International Relations, Ms. Miroslava DARNADIOVÁ, Deputy head of the International Mobility Department, and Ms. Laura DANIELOVÁ, Coordinator for Incoming Students are present during these events and take time to chat with the exchange students. Anh from National Economics University (NEU), Vietnam told us: “It was like a meeting to share and talk about our experience, life, studying in Bratislava. I was explained and understood more about lifestyle and what I see and experience.”. The students shared their EUBA adventures, discussed the benefits of the department’s social media accounts, and gave their ideas on what could be improved or developed to improve such an experience.
