On May 5, 2022, the European Commission awarded the prestigious "HR Excellence in Research" award to the University of Economics in Bratislava as the third university in Slovakia.

This award guarantees that the University of Economics in Bratislave constantly strives to meet European standards in terms of stimulating and favourable work environment, professional development and fair and transparent recruitment in accordance with the standards of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.

The University of Economics in Bratislava has reached another important milestone in fulfilling its mission and vision. "The EUBA proves that, together with the recently obtained AACSB international accreditation, it has undergone a significant transformation in recent years towards world quality standards," said Ferdinand Daňo, Rector of the EUBA.

The University of Economics in Bratislava endorsed the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for Recruitment of Researchers on 1st February 2021, committing itself to implementing the principles of the Charter and the Code through the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R). All parts of the university, led by the Vice-Rector for Research and Doctoral Studies, Paula Puškárová, participated in the preparation. According to the methodology of the European Commission, a Gap analysis of strengths and weaknesses in the field of human resources management and an Action Plan were prepared that the university has committed itself to implement in the following two years.
