The Consortium of Slovak Universities U10+ carefully perceives the difficult and complicated security situation in Ukraine. The Consortium supports the principle of its territorial integrity, which is protected by International Law and considers the use of armed force by foreign State on the largest scale since World War II to be an unprecedented encroachment on Ukrainian sovereignty, a violation of fundamental human rights and a clear act of unilateral aggression.
We, the management, the staff and the students of the universities associated in the Consortium, express our solidarity with the at-risk students and the staff of the universities, and we assure that we are ready to help them. We are well aware that we live in a closely connected world, and what happened to them may happen to us tomorrow. Our universities will provide you with the material and intangible assistance they have at their disposal. We publish this opinion and it becomes part of the attitude of the people of Slovakia, but also our practical attitude. We want to prove that it is true of this country and its people that we can support those who are in personal need; all the more so those who are victims of large-scale violence and injustice.
