The Institute of Economics and Management in Bratislava is an all-university research center contributing to the development of economic theory and economic research at the University of Economics in Bratislava.
The IEaM in Bratislava carries out two types of tasks:
- Basic roles in the research – it identifies strategic long-term visions in areas that are of key importance for the development of economics and management and which constitute the economic research lines of the IEaM in Bratislava; it implements its own research in approved priority themes; through its activities it acquires funds from public and private resources and uses them for the benefit of research; it organizes conferences, seminars and related academic activities aimed at presenting the results of its research and participates in the implementation of the Memorandum of appreciation between the University of Economics in Bratislava and the International Investment Bank;
- Supporting tasks in coordinating, documentation and information-communication area – it coordinates research activities carried out in the UE in Bratislava with the relevant research activities of external entities, it prepares material for decision-making of the UE leadership in Bratislava in the continuous process of elaborating the concept of science and research development in the UE Bratislava, it is a reference point for the UE in Bratislava in the interdisciplinary coordination of international projects and in dissemination of the results of economic science in the society.
