The 19th International Teaching Week took place at the Bratislava University of Economics and Business from 27th to 31st October 2025. Every year the event offers the opportunity for international cooperation in teaching and connects teachers from foreign universities with EUBA students. The aim of this year's edition was to support internationalization in teaching and at the same time to strengthen cooperation within the framework of teacher mobilities under the Erasmus+ programme, especially through the Erasmus Mobility with Partner Countries outside of European Union (KA 171).
EUBA welcomed ten foreign teachers from Armenia, Morocco, Ukraine, Lithuania and Germany. They represented the institutions such as Kaunas University of Technology, Hochschule Mittweida – University of Applied Sciences, ESCA Ecole de Management, Uzhhorod National University, Yerevan State University and Vilnius Gediminas Technical University.
During the event, professional lectures were held at several faculties.
At the Faculty of Economics and Finance contributions focused on Economic Development, Regional Economics and Politics. At the Faculty of Business Management, guest teachers participated in subjects such as Managerial Decision Making, Financial Analysis, International Management and Business.
The Faculty of International Relations welcomed experts with topics from the field of World Economy and International Economic Relations.
The event was opened by EUBA Rector Prof. Ferdinand Daňo, who in his speech emphasized the importance of International Teaching Week as part of the university's mission to offer high-quality, internationally oriented education. Vice-Rector for International Relations Assoc. Prof. Boris Mattoš introduced the university to the guests from the perspective of its foreign activities and cooperation with partner institutions. He reminded that the tradition of International Teaching Weeks dates back to the year 2015.
Participants appreciated the opportunity to participate in teaching at EUBA, as well as the opportunities for networking and international cooperation.
Daiva Dumciuviene from Kaunas University of Technology said: “I am satisfied with the high level of organization of the event and the students' approach to teaching. I thank the Bratislava University of Economics and Business for this opportunity.” Olena Zayats from Uzhhorod National University added: “International Teaching Week confirmed the importance of international cooperation in education. It brought many new ideas, contacts and inspiration for further work.”
