The International Study Abroad Fair (ISAF) at the Bratislava University of Economics and Business (EUBA) continues to shine as a flagship event promoting international mobility, cultural exchange, and global friendship. The latest 15th edition, held during the winter semester of the 2025/2026 academic year, built upon the success of previous years and welcomed students from 22 countries, transforming the university into a vibrant mosaic of cultures.

From the moment the fair opened, led by Laura DANIELOVÁ, the Coordinator for Incoming Students, the atmosphere was electric with curiosity and celebration. Each country booth was a window into a different world, decorated with national symbols, traditional attire, and cultural artifacts. Students eagerly explored these booths, engaging in conversations about academic systems, lifestyles, and study opportunities abroad.

The ISAF was not only an academic showcase but also a celebration of diversity and unity. Participants shared stories, music, dances, and culinary delights from their homelands, creating a lively and inclusive environment.

One of the highlights of this year’s fair was the presence of distinguished guests from National Taipei University, Thijs Velema, Dean of the Office of International Affairs and Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology, and Ms. Paula Liao, Outbound Program Coordinator at the Division of International Education and Engagement. Their participation, along with that of H.E. Mr. Thomas Kurz, German Ambassador, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, underscored the international significance of the event.

As in previous years, the fair featured an online voting system for the “Best Booth,” allowing students to recognize creativity and effort. This year, Ukraine was voted the winner, impressing attendees with its vibrant presentation and warm hospitality. The Vice Rector for International Relations, Mr. Boris MATTOŠ, presented a thoughtful gift bag to honor the dedication and enthusiasm of the participants.

Students from across the globe expressed their appreciation for the fair. Bruno from Monterrey Institute of Technology, Mexico, shared: “I really enjoyed learning about new cultures and meeting nice, interesting people. It was also a pleasure to share my own country's culture with others.”

The fair continues to be a powerful reminder that education transcends borders. It fosters mutual respect, encourages exploration, and builds lasting friendships. As Daniela from Ukraine added, “I really liked how this event was organized. It was very interesting to learn about the culture, traditional dishes, and new facts from international students. Such events bring us closer to each other and to other cultures. Thank you to the organizers for the emotions and for creating a small family of students.”

In essence, the International Study Abroad Fair is more than just a day of presentations; it is a journey across continents, a celebration of shared humanity, and a testament to the transformative power of global education.
