What is HRS4R?

The Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R) is a tool for harmonizing human resource management with the forty principles of the European Charter for Researchers, representing a set of general principles and conditions defining the roles, responsibilities and requirements of researchers, employers and research funding organizations and the Code of Conduct for Research Recruitment, which is a set of general principles and conditions that employers should adhere to in an open, transparent and merit-based recruitment of researchers.

Alignment of the human resources strategy with the principles of the Charter and the Code is recognized by the European Commission by the HR Excellence in Research Award, which increases the institution's attractiveness in the European Research Area as an employer and potential project partner in international consortia.

HRS4R at the University of Economics in Bratislava

The University of Economics in Bratislava adopted the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers on 1 February 2021, committing itself to implementing the principles of the Charter and the Code through the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R).

The European Commission on 5th May 2022 awarded the prestigious „HR Excellence in Research“ to the University of Economics in Bratislava. We are currently in the Implementation Phase where the realisation of the Action plans begins. After 24 months will our university submit the documents for the evaluation of the implementation of the Action Plan.
