12th year of job and career fair Career Journey 2022

The University of Economics in Bratislava held the 12^th year of the job and career fair Career Journey 2022 intended for students. Tuesday, October 18 and Wednesday, October 19, 2022 saw the university's lobby filled with representatives of 33 TOP employers from national and multinational companies and organisations that offered job opportunities, internships, part-time jobs, study visits or language stays to students.

Companies from the banking sector, commerce, marketing, consulting industry, auditing, accounting, IT, mobile services and language stays not only introduced a variety of job offers to students but also provided a glimpse on professional life and career in the companies. The number of the students who attended the fair during the two days was somewhere between 4,500 - 4,800.

"Linking students with real-life business world is one of the main goals pursued by the University of Economics in Bratislava. I'm delighted by the great interest the TOP employers have shown in the opportunity to present their activities to our students and to offer them a chance for career development. And I'm just as delighted to see that plenty of students have found time and space to inquire about their career opportunities. In general, our students and graduates are one of the most demanded in Slovakia. In 82 years of its history, the EUBA has trained more than 112,000 graduates who are sought after not only in Slovakia but also abroad", says Ferdinand DAŇO, Rector of the University of Economics in Bratislava.

"By staging this event, the University of Economics in Bratislava seeks to bring yet another opportunity for students to find a full-time job, part-time job or internship in companies both in Slovakia and abroad. It's nice to meet EUBA graduates who go back to their alma mater. This fair is specifically arranged to last two days in order to have the maximum possible impact on students", added Miroslav HORŇÁK, Head of the EUBA Centre of Communication and Public Relations and fair organiser.

"The students appreciate the opportunity to have an initial contact with their future potential employer at the university on an ordinary school day. By being able to inquire about job offers, career development, working environment and benefits that the individual companies offer, they can obtain a comprehensive picture of each company. At the same time, they can also take some valuable advice for their future career development", replied Paulína DUDOVÁ, President of the EUBA Student Parliament.
