Tuesday, December 5, 2017 saw another from the series of interesting lectures within the course Diplomacy in Practice, this time with the Ambassador of New Zealand H.E. Ms. Nicole Roberton.

The Embassy in Vienna is accredited to Slovakia, Slovenia, Austria, Hungary and international organizations located in the Austrian capital. Ms. Ambassador was welcomed by Mr. Boris Mattoš, the vice-rector for international relations. The head of the Department of International Mobility, Ms. Simona Kosztanko was present at the meeting, too.

The Ambassador Roberton addressed students also in Maori which is along with English an official language of the New Zealand. She praised highly the opening presentation by the student team. In her speech, Ms. Ambassador focused on foreign policy and economic priorities of this small country in the south-western Pacific Ocean.

Ms. Nicole Roberton’s lecture and subsequent discussion concluded the 22nd lecture series given by the members of diplomatic staff in winter term in course Diplomacy in Practice. The topic of this semester was Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, and the guests included members of diplomatic missions from Canada, USA, Mexico, Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan, Chile, China, Philippines, and New Zealand.
