On March 12, 2024, the International Office of the EUBA organized the International Study Abroad Fair. The event aimed to promote awareness of various study opportunities abroad. As presenters, exchange students from 19 countries participated in the fair in the summer semester of the academic year 2023/2024.
Foreign students used this opportunity to present their home universities to EUBA students through informative and engaging presentations. The presentations not only showed the academic opportunities but also gave an insight into the different cultures, traditions and cuisines of their home countries. Jasmin from the University of Ludwigshafen, Germany said: "The fair is very good, international, people are in a good mood, it's great that all cultures can get to know each other." Leonardo from the University of Pavia in Italy adds: "This fair is really nice, you can meet a lot of people, eat good food and I would really recommend everyone to come here and get to know us."
The event was opened by the coordinator for incoming students at the International Office, Laura Danielová, who warmly welcomed everyone and encouraged students to share their enriching experiences from studying abroad, creating a favourable atmosphere for establishing new contacts and friendships.
This year, we also welcomed the SAIA agency, which offered students the possibility of financing mobility, for example, through the National Scholarship Program of the Slovak Republic. Coordinators for outgoing students from the International Office provided information on study opportunities within the Erasmus+ programs and bilateral agreements.
At the end of the event, Boris Mattoš, vice-rector for international relations, presented prizes to the winners of the competition for the most beautiful booth (France) and the winners of the photo contest. One of the winners of the best booth from France, Armand, Management School ESSCA, said: “We are obviously proud to have made our country win.”. Gatien, from Paul Sabatier University, added: “Other nationalities did a great job as well, that was a pleasure to discover their specialities.”
