On Wednesday, March 1, 2023, the Department of International Mobility hosted its popular International Study Abroad Fair in the main campus building. This year we celebrate the 10th anniversary of the International Study Abroad Fair.

The event was opened by Vice-Rector for International Relations, Boris Mattos who welcomed all students and encouraged them to share their study abroad experiences and establish contacts and new friendships.

The International Study Abroad Fair was attended by the exchange students of the summer semester 2022/2023. Alone or in groups, the international students presented their country and their home university to all the other students. They presented pictures of their countries with the main monuments, typical food, or a few words in their mother tongue, but especially, the study abroad opportunities for Slovak students.

During this fair, 19 nationalities, including the most popular EU destinations such as France, Italy, Germany, and Portugal, but also non-EU countries such as Vietnam, South Korea, and India, in total over 50 international students attended the event. Chu Ha from NEU, Vietnam said: "It is my honor to be here today at the International Study Abroad Fair, there are so many good foods, and I could meet so many new friends!". It is the second time the ISAF hosted full-time students, this year from Kenya and Palestine representing their experience with studying in Slovakia. Jona from the University of Hohenheim, Germany said "ISAF was a great event with lots of exciting tables and lots of great inputs and delicious food!". Peter from Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences, Germany, also added, "I recommend visiting ISAF, it was a really cool event, we won the prize for the best table!".

Both incoming and outgoing offices and representatives from the Erasmus Student Network EU Bratislava (ESN EU Bratislava) provided information to students about the diverse types of study abroad programs available and encouraged students to consider studying abroad while at EUBA.

The great novelty of this year was a Kahoot quiz! It was a quiz about the University of Economics in Bratislava, but also about the international environment and cultures which were very popular among the students. The first three places were awarded valuable prizes

The International Relations Office was also excited to announce students from Germany as the winners of the best table contest in this year’s event. Laura Danielová, Coordinator for incoming students congratulated all the winners and awarded them the prizes.
