The Welcome Week for the summer semester students kick-started! New incoming students from all over the world experienced an exciting week full of activities!
This semester, 127 students from 26 countries such as China (Ningbo University), South Korea (SolBridge International School of Business), Brazil (University of São Paulo), Mexico (Tecnológico de Monterrey) or European university students from France, Germany, Spain, Italy, and the list goes on, came to study at the University of Economics in Bratislava.
February 7, 2022 - The first day of the Welcome Week took place online via MS Teams, where the new Incoming students had warm greetings from the Deputy head of the International Mobility Department, Miroslava DARNADIOVÁ, following the Coordinator for Incoming Students, Laura DANIELOVÁ, and last but not least the Representatives of the Erasmus Student Network - ESN EU Bratislava.
In this meeting, the students had interactive activities such as a Kahoot quiz and Scavenger Hunt, where students were divided into teams to get to know each other better. Furthermore, they were provided with necessary information about the study, administrative or organizational responsibilities.
The second day of the Welcome Week started in the university premises at EUBA, where about 80 incoming students came to recover their ISIC cards, sign necessary documents, meet new potential friends and even see the university for the very first time! On the third day, a meeting was organized concerning the duties connected with the Foreign Police in Slovakia. Later in the evening, the ESN EU Bratislava organized an online webinar through MS TEAMS called “Get to know Slovakia!” where students learned more about Slovakia and its secrets. The following days the activities were organized by the ESN EU Bratislava where students had a chance to participate in a city tour, visit Bratislava castle and Slavín monument, or even participate in a Hike and Clean activity - an entertaining day where students worked together to help the environment while discovering the green side of Bratislava. On the last day, ESN organized an adventurous hike to Devínska Kobyla with an incredible view.
