On 22 September 2021 University of Economics in Bratislava welcomed a precious guest Torgny Roxå, an associate professor at the Faculty of Engineering, Lund University. Torgny Roxå has more than thirty years of experience in academic development with a focus on developing quality cultures in higher education organisations.

His research focuses upon strategic change in teaching cultures within higher education organisations, especially significant networks and micro-cultures. In his lecture designed for vice-rectors, vice-deans, heads of departments and other colleagues from University of Economics in Bratislava interested in the topic, he described the system of student evaluations used successfully at his faculty with continuously improving results for almost two decades. He explained that student evaluation of teaching should be part of an overall strategy for improving student learning. Another important pillar of this strategy should be rewarding excellence in teaching. Therefore, in the second part of the lecture, he described the LTH´s Pedagogical academy, which has been run at his faculty since 2001 to reward teachers with a clear focus on student learning and a developed capability to reflect scholarly on practice. Over the twenty years, it has inspired around thirty other universities in Sweden and other countries.
