The Rector of the University of Economics in Bratislava Mr. Ferdinand Daňo and the Ambassador of India to the Slovak Republic H. E. Mr. Harsh Kumar Jain cordially invite the interested Students to attend the Celebration of the 149th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and the International Day of Non-violence on Tuesday, 2nd October 2018 at 11:00 at the Assembly Hall of the University of Economics in Bratislava.
The event will include photo exhibition (Mohan to Mahatma), display of books on Mahatma Gandhi, speeches by Ambassador and Rector, short talks on relevance of Gandhi’s message in the contemporary world by Mr. Eduard Chmelar, University Professor; Mr. Pavol Demes, Former Minister of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Milan Sismis, Slovak National Library, Screening of documentary “Mahatma Gandhi-Pilgrim of Peace“, Release of a video of Gandhi’s favourite prayer “Vaishnav Jan to“ by Slovak Artists, and release of “Postage Stamps commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi”.
