Between July 9 and August 3, 2018 the University of Economics in Bratislava organized already 14th internationally recognized summer school for Mexican students from the partner university Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM), Mexico. The program of the summer school has been launched by Mr Boris Mattoš, vice-rector for international relations, who also welcomed the students at UEBA.

Altogether 35 students from TEC Monterrey completed the Doing Business in Central Europe programme which has been designed to give a comprehensive knowledge on Central European business environment with a specific focus on economics, international relations and culture. The academic part of the programme included 80 contact hours divided into 3 blocks dedicated to case studies, soft-skills trainings and excursions. Among other things, the students visited the National Bank of Slovakia, Volkswagen and Johnson Controls. Besides the academic part, the Mexican students visited not only the capital, but also its surroundings stretching as far as to Spiš Castle, Levoča, Pieniny, High Tatras and Banská Bystrica.

On July 16, 2018 the students were visited by Sen. Luz María Beristain Navarrete and the delegation from the Embassy of the United Mexican States in Vienna led by Amb. Alicia Buenrostro Massieu and a representative of the diplomatic mission Mr Hermann Aschentrupp Toledo. The guests answered many questions on current topics.

Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey is one of the most prominent universities in Latin America. The University was established in 1943 and it is situated 31 campuses in 25 countries all over the country. In 2008, Business School ITESM was awarded the triple international accreditation (AACSB, AMBA, EQUIS).
